2013 Tracker Targa 18 Combo

August 13, 2019

Family boating those two words conjure
up images of great times on the water and to
deliver those great times you need a versatile boat like this
week’s Power Profile a 2013 Tracker Targa V18 combo when selecting this model fishing is
likely the number one activity so the Targa V18 won’t
disappoint at the bow you’ll find a standard Minn Kota 24 volt trolling motor which comes
complete with batteries and a charger there are also two tackle trays courtesy
light and bow aerator and motor trim switches.
The raised fishing deck includes a single fishing chair mount with a 19
gallon lighted, aerated live well and bait bucket
underneath. To handle your fishing gear there are two top loading lockers in the
gunnels that can handle eight-foot rods or down riggers. More storage
is provided in port and starboard lockable lockers in the interior gunnels. At the transom a draining locker is tucked under the
starboard jump seat and an aerated live well under the port side.
Seating includes two swiveling and locking helms seats and two movable
folding fishing seats that can be moved from the cockpit to
both the stern and bow fishing decks rounding out the seating are two stern
jump seats for the family Tracker includes an aft
swim platform and boarding ladder, a removable ski boarding pylon, bow back
cushions and seat cushions and an in deck storage locker for skis and
boards there’s also a serious capable am/fm CD
stereo with mp3 input in the locking bin
on the companion console along with the stereo system the
passenger console houses a storage compartment cooler and drink holder. The helm side features
complete instrumentation system switches, and a tilt wheel- compact
clean and functional keeping with Tracker’s ready to fish
right out of the box philosophy the V18 combo comes with the
standard Lowrance fishfinder getting set for the on water test I could readily find a comfortable
position behind the tilt wheel getting underway the 20-degree dead rise deep V hull
exhibited negligible bow rise as it quickly
settled into a comfortable 31 mile per hour cruise at 4000rpm. Now whenever you’re taking an aluminum boat out for a test this is
something you want to do do you hear anything? All you’re hearing now a pretty quiet mercury 4-stroke, the
sound of some waves and the wind, and some water rushing by and nothing else and the reason why solid welded aluminum hull, a robust stringer system and of course beneath
the deck here injected foam. It gives you an amazing quiet ride. With the hull’s performance
strakes and reverse chines the target V18 is a stable platform
but they don’t take away from the hull’s crisp and secure handling characteristics.
Delivering big performance on this model was an optional Mercury 150 4-stroke a
great choice over the base 115 horsepower engine acceleration was excellent clocking in
at 6.4 seconds to 20 miles per hour and 7.9 to 30. Top speed was a solid 47
miles per hour at 5800 rpm. Without a doubt this tracker Targa V18 combo is a
family friendly package suitable for tow sports as well as
cruising and for the anglers in the family you don’t have to give up the extreme
fishability this fully featured boat provides.

We are getting one soon but I hate the dang seats… they need to recline. So, we will get 2 upgraded seats…. bad back… can;t sit as straight as these are, they are so uncomfortable.
