My sister got caught in a ripped current and is true there was a gap between two sand bars and it was only a couple of feet from sore and she was being pulled so I jumped in to get her and I yield for help and luckily there was a couple of people with some buggy boards and they threw one towards me as I was getting her thank God we both survived.

Is there ANY research done on this? It sounds like he is just saying what he thinks he knows about these things… Half assed explanations/details pretty much.. not meaning to badmouth ya bro.. but it really sounds like you have NO IDEA about most of these things…

  • Reply Stoney ya Blazed Homie July 28, 2019 at 3:35 pm

And I havta say if you get caught in a rip current SWIM TO THE SIDE! Don't even try swimming IN TO SHORE you'll just get pulled further out. Instead swim to the side (parallel to shore) untill you feel the tides not be so strong, at that point you are likely out of the rip current and you can attempt to swim to shore. It's smart to just learn what signs to watch for and avoid it altogether. You risk not only YOUR LIFE when you go into a riptide but anyone else who goes in after you is at risk as well… THEY ARE NO JOKE!

look . .people , about rip current . i dont get why people panic . dont panic . off shore winds , not good for swimming . less waves also . hidden currents are way more dangerous on offshore wind conditions . but as long as winds are on shore , and you feel like you are pulling out from the land , dont panic , you will end up on land sooner or later . as long as you dont swim on colder water just let your self float with the current , once you feel you are not dragging anymore , try to swim parallel to the land for a while and let the wind carry you back to the land . dont panic bro . its gonna be ok . but once you panic , you gonna get cramps , once you get cramps , you gonna panic more , and you gonna swallow water , once you start swallowing water , you are gonna panic more , snowball effect . ending up killing yourself . dont panic . panic never works with sea . please remember .
