Miami is called the Boating Capital of the World. The Progressive Insurance Miami International Boat Show’ and Strictly Sail 2013 is a major annual event for the nautical community. This year the 2013 boat show started on february 14 and lasted through february 18. The Miami Boat Show is probably the largest exhibition of products and services in the boating industry. The Miami Boat Show 2013 will is held at three venues: Miamarina at Bayside, the Miami Beach Convention Center and the Sea Isle Marina and Yachting Center. Inside the Miami Beach Convention Center there are boats for every purpose and budget. There is also a wide variety of marine engines, electronic equipment and other accessories and services. The New Yacht & Power Boat Show at Sea Isle Marina at Sea Isle Marina & Yachting Center, 1635 N. Bayshore Drive requires no ticket. It exhibits thousands of sailboats, power boats, engines, electronics and accessories. Strictly Sail Miami is docked at Bayside, 400 Biscayne Blvd. It features the latest sailboats from builders around the world. Next to that there are almost 200 booths offering sailing gear and equipment as wel as accessories and hardware from the worlds top suppliers. In total more than 3000 of boats are displayed at the Miami Boat Show presented by more than 2000 companies. More than 100.000 visitors attend the show each year. The Miami Boat Show generates big business in the region and is an important economic motor for Florida. The next Miami Boat Show will be from 13/02/2014 through 17/02/2014.
