Pelican The Catch 100 2018

August 13, 2019

hi I’m Joel McBride with Pelican
international and we’re here to look at our newest member of the catch family
this is the Catch 100 a 10-foot version of our really popular Catch 120 the
12-foot version so what we have is a shorter more compact a little bit
lighter weight boat so this boat was designed with stability in mind so we
use a tunnel hull which means all that positive floatation is on the outside
maximum stability so let’s go through the features we have four rigid handles
around the boat for easy transportation up front we have a quick lock hatch for
below deck storage and we have two side track accessory mounts as well for like
fish finders or GPS or extra rod holders whatever you like in the cockpit we have
adjustable foot pegs when and if you want to stand up we have a stand assist
strap you stand up on two pads anti slip pads for really good positioning and
stability while standing and our dual position g2 seating system you can put it down low for low center of gravity for best paddling efficiency to get out to where you want to go fishing then once you get there you can raise it up put it in the second position so now you’re almost starting to sight cast and look and you can see much better what’s going on around you also the seats removable making the kayak easier to transport and
you can use the seat for lunch like a beach chair or whatever you
like the Catch 100 has four flush mount rod holders the two right alongside the
seat are for changing a lure or landing of fish a very efficient way to go
also we have two paddle parks or paddle holders to help keep your paddle secure
and out of the way while you’re fishing in the back we have a large tank
well with bungee to help secure all your fishing gear so the Catch 100 is in our Pelican premium line which means we use Ram X premium polyethylene plastic for a lighter stiffer and stronger product high impact resistant at 58 pounds this
is one of the more lightweight boats in the kayak fishing market we feel so
confident in the quality of our product we offer a limited lifetime warranty on
the hull the Catch 100 makes it easy to get out on the water and create
fishing stories for years to come we’ll see you out there

That's the one for me!! Upgrading from my nice Pelican Icon 100X Angler !! The upgrades and new seat were all I was looking for. A 10 ft is perfect for me. Great job Pelican !! Once I buy her at my local Academy I will put her out 👌

Anyone. How's the stability for a fly Fisher. Looking to do river musky fly fishing. So needs to be really stable.

What exactly do you put on the slide-on tracks? Can you provide a link to some accessories that would slide on those tracks?
I recently purchased a Pelican Premium Catch 100 and I’m just wondering what I can add on

Are you guys at pelican going to do a catch 120 2018 review

How wide of a kayak cart would you recommend for this kayak? The one I have is too small for mine.

Waiting for your new pedal yak to come out. Looks like it has flippers instead of the drive shaft pedals so no instant reverse which is what i was hoping it would have, i'll check it out anyway, but i do need instant reverse..

I just checked this out at Dick's Sporting Goods! Looks like a good buy. I have cross bars on my VW Golf, but i can't find a good rack to hold this on its side, beside my other kayak. Any reccomendations?

After researching and taking a closer look at the catch 100, it's def one i'll be getting in the new year that is when you put some pedals in it { reverse is not a deal breaker for me } would love the catch 100 with a pedal drive as the 130 will be to big for me { car topping ect } …

Please tell me this is the one. I'm in between this Catch 100 and the Vibe yellowfin 100. Can you tell me the features what the Catch have that's above the Vibe? I really need excuses to get the Catch.

Is it really stable enough to stand and fish out of. Pretty short for a stand-up boat. Yea? Nay? Experiences?
