Grandad who ‘dropped toddler 150ft from cruise ship’ says no punishment is worse than grief – Live

    November 25, 2019

A US TOURIST accused of dropping his granddaughter from a cruise ship has said no punishment could be worse than the grief of her death  Salvatore Anello faces years in prison following his arrest over the horror death of 18-month-old Chloe Wiegand  He is facing a negligent homicide charges after the tot fell 150ft  from his arms from an 11th storey window on a Royal Caribbean Cruise Ship  The holiday tragedy happened on July 7 this year, while the vessel was docked in San Juan, Puerto Rico  Anello was arrested and charged after he said he placed Chloe near an open window he believed was closed  He could now receive three years behind bars if convicted, according to reports, but he revealed nothing compares to the pain of losing his “best friend ”  “They can’t do anything worse to me than has already happened,” he told NBC News, following a court appearance in the Puerto Rican capital Local authorities allege Anello negligently exposed his granddaughter to the window, causing her to fall 115 feet to her death Security video of the incident from the ship remains unreleased but is believed to have led to the charges  Chloe’s parents, Kimberly and Alan Wiegand, openly defended Anello in an interview shortly after their child’s death  “He was extremely hysterical,” Kimberly said. “The thing that he has repeatedly told us is, ‘I believed that there was glass ‘  “He will cry over and over and over. At no point ever, ever has (he) put our kids in danger (He’s) very, very distraught. You can barely look at him without him crying. She was his best friend ”  During their support for Anello they released a picture of Chloe leaning on a see-through barrier at a hockey rink, saying she would bang on the glass at her older brother’s hockey games  Instead they pinned blame for the tragedy on Royal Caribbean maintaining the glass pane should have been closed securely  They claim the company’s oversight to ensure proper safety measures “cost our child her life ”  CCTV footage of the incident will be used in court and Michael Winkleman, representing the family, said what he has seen in the video is “pretty consistent with what my client has told me ”  “I think a lot of people don’t understand the unique configuration of the ship because it has this window that sort of has this curvature with this railing that goes across it,” he told ABC News  “So I think some people maybe thought he was dangling her out the window, but I think it’s very clear from the video that it’s not the case ”  Royal Caribbean spokeswoman Melissa Charbonneau said: “This was a tragic incident  “Out of respect for the family’s privacy during this very sad time, and because the government has chosen to charge Salvatore Anello we have no further comment ”

Reverse Driver | Indian Man Drives Car Backwards On Busy Highways

    October 15, 2019

    00:08
COMM: Harpreet Devi has found a new way of making his driving stand out. He travels everywhere
    in reverse. 00:18
HARPREET: I wanted to do something so that’s why I thought of doing something new. Then
I thought of doing something which nobody had seen before so I started reverse driving. 00:31
COMM: Harpeet’s unusual style behind the wheel, has been regular sight on the roads of Bhatinda
in the Indian state of Punjab since 2003. He’s modified his car, a Fiat Padmini so that
it now has four gears for reverse and only one gear going forwards, allowing him to drive
backwards at speeds of up to fifty miles per hour. However the reason he started driving
in reverse in the the first place was out of necessity rather than choice. 01:00
HARPREET: One day I had trouble when I my car wasn’t working properly. It got stuck
in reverse gear. I was outside the city, I had no money, so I thought of driving the
car backwards until Bathinda. Then I drive backwards and later on I gained confidence. 01:24
COMM: After years of reversing he now feels he’s a safer driver going backwards than he
is going forwards and has been granted special permission by the state government to continue
with his unusual style. To ensure safety, he’s fitted an ambulance siren to alert other
drivers and pedestrians to the fact that he’s reversing. Crucially he’s also added headlights
to the rear of his car. And while driving like this has bought him fame, it’s also had
an adverse affect on his health as he now suffers from back and neck problems.

Iranian oil tanker sought by US turns off tracker outside Syria, Lebanon

    September 11, 2019

An Iranian oil tanker that’s been pursued by the U.S. turned off its tracker on Monday just outside the coast of Lebanon and Syria The tanker — Adrian Darya 1 — carries roughly 2.1 million barrels of Iranian oil worth an estimated $130 million It turned off its Automatic Identification System (AIS) tracking beacon around noon EST on Monday, according to MarineTraffic com, a ship-tracking website. TEHRAN WILL ‘TAKE A STRONG STEP’ AWAY FROM NUCLEAR DEAL IF EUROPE DOESN’T OFFER NEW TERMS, IRAN SAYS Formerly known as the Grace 1, the vessel was heading north, roughly 45 nautical miles from Syria, when it disappeared — following a pattern of Iranian oil tankers turning off their AIS once they reach near Cyprus in the Mediterranean Sea in an effort to hide where they deliver their cargo amid U S. sanctions targeting Iran’s energy industry. Because Turkey has stopped taking Iranian crude oil and Syria historically has taken around 1 million barrels of crude oil a month from Iran, Ranjith Raja, a lead analyst at the data firm Refinitiv, said it was likely the ship would be offloading its cargo in Syria   The Adrian Darya 1, pictured here in August in the British territory of Gibraltar, turned off its tracker on Monday off the coast of Syria and Lebanon (AP Photo/Marcos Moreno) Iranian officials haven’t identified who bought the Adrian Darya’s cargo, only that it has been sold  The U.S., which has sought to seize the tanker, alleged in federal court that the ship is owned by Iran’s Revolutionary Guard — which was recently declared a terrorist organization by the U S., giving the country greater power to seize its assets. CLICK HERE TO GET THE FOX NEWS APP U S. officials since have warned countries not to aid the Adrian Darya 1, which has said it would be heading to Greece and Turkey before turning off its tracker Monday Authorities in Gibraltar alleged the ship was bound for a refinery in Baniyas, Syria, when they seized it in early July They ultimately let it go after holding it for weeks. The Associated Press contributed to this report

Kenda Tires and Wheels – Tire with Wheel – AM3H310 Review – etrailer.com

    September 1, 2019

Today, we’ll be taking about part number:
AM3H310The Kenda 215/60 X 8 Bias Trailer Tire with 8″ White Wheel. This wheel has a white, powder coat finish
over an e-coat primer, which will resist rust and corrosion. It measures 8″ in diameter by 7″ wide. It has a 5 on 4-1/2″ bolt pattern, meaning
it has 5 lug nut holes. And if you draw a circle through the center
of each of the 5 lug nut holes and measure that diameter, it will give you your 4-1/2″
measurement. You can also measure from the center of one
bolt hole to the center of the very next bolt hole, which in this case is 2-5/8″. If you refer to the chart on our product page,
you’ll see that 2-5/8″ will give you your 4-1/2″ bolt pattern. This wheel has a capacity of 1,040 lbs, and
is manufactured by Dexstar. Now, we’ll now move on to the tire: This is
a Loadstar 215/60/8 tire. It is a load range C, 6-ply rating, giving
it a maximum load of 935 lbs at 50 psi. It has an overall diameter of 18″.
