    ENJOY FIREWORKS ARE AT VENUES WHERE THEY ARE DISPLAYED BY PROFESSIONALS.>>>A FIVE-YEAR-OLD GIRL IS RECOVERING AFTER SHE WAS INJURED IN A BOATING ACCIDENT JUST SOUTHEAST OF MOTLEY YESTERDAY. THE MORRISON COUNTY SHERIFF’S OFFICE RECEIVED THE REPORT OF A BOATING ACCIDENT ON LAKE ALEXANDER JUST AFTER 4:30 AT NIGHT. THE FIVE-YEAR-OLD WAS ON AWAKE — ON A WAKEBOARD BOAT THAT WAS PULLING A TUBE WITH PASSENGERS. THE SKI TOWER BROKE, FALLING ON TOP OF THE GIRL AND HITTING HER IN THE HEAD. SHE WAS THEN TAKEN TO STAPLES HOSPITAL TO BE TREATED FOR A HEAD INJURY. THE MORRISON COUNTY SHERIFF’S DEPARTMENT WAS ASSISTED AT THE SCENE BY SCANDIA VALLEY FIRST

    ISSUES, TOO.>>>A VETERAN HAS SET OFF ON A 2,000 MILE JOURNEY DOWN THE MISSISSIPPI RIVER TO BRING AWARENESS TO A LITTLE KNOWN PROGRAM THAT HELPS OTHER VETERANS WHO ARE STRUGGLING WITH PTSD. REPORTER SHIRELLE MOORE SPOKE WITH HIM BEFORE HE HEADED OUT THIS MORNING AND TELLS US MORE ABOUT HIS CAUSE.>>Reporter: THE MISSISSIPPI RIVER STRETCHES WELL OVER 2,000 MILES. MANY HAVE MADE THE JOURNEY DOWN THE RIVER. ONE VETERAN IS DOING IT BY CANOE TO RAISE AWARENESS TO A CAUSE THAT MATTERS MOST WITH HIM.>>I’M A VETERAN WITH PTSD.
