Tube Rolling | Pontoon Science #1 | Avalon Luxury Pontoon Boats

August 14, 2019

The pontoon boat starts right here. We
get the flat goods delivered to us and then we begin rolling them. One pontoon takes two to four sections depending on the length of the tube. We’ll roll up
anywhere from 125 to 150 sections a day. What we have here then when we roll it
is the roller. We reinvested in the business about three years ago. We got a
CNC roller to ensure quality rolls the first time every time. So now we’re going to roll a section of tube. What they’re looking for here is
they’re looking to make sure the mandrels don’t have any burrs or
scratches on them that would cause damage to the tube section. They roll it
bottom side down, which is our good side, and make sure they feed it in evenly. So
go ahead and start the roll. Then it’s ready for the seamer. And that’s
Pontoon Science.
